What is Resveratrol?
- It's extracted from root of Polygonum Cuspidatum. Resveratrol is a polyphenolic compound mainly derived from grapes (red wine, polyrod, peanut, mulberry, etc.). It is a kind of natural polyphenol with strong biological characteristics. It is a chemotherapeutic agent for cancer, and also a chemoprophylaxis agent for reducing platelet aggregation, preventing atherosclerosis and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Red coats and peanut kernels also contain considerable amounts of resveratrol. Resveratrol has been shown to have beneficial effects on cardiovascular disease and cancer.
