O-methoxyphe nol is mainly used as an organic synthetic preparation in medicine, pesticide, fragrance and other industries, as well as cosmetics and chemical reagents.

1) For pesticides: 5-nitroguaiacol sodium can be synthesized as plant growth regulator;

2) Used in medicine: used for the synthesis of a variety of anti-inflammatory and antibacterial drugs, such as guaiacol potassium sulfonate (calcium), ibuprofen guaiacol ester and guaiacol glycerol ether;

3) Used in fragrance industry: in addition to being directly used as incense raw materials, it can also be used to manufacture vanillin and artificial musk, etc.

4) In the cosmetics industry for antioxidant, phenolic antioxidant, has a strong antioxidant effect, but the general amount should not be too much, and usually need to synergistic agent, metal ion chelating agent and other synergistic use;
