1. panthenol, or provitamin B5, is a widely used vitamin additive, widely used in skin medicine, skin care and hair cosmetics.Panthenol is a kind of stable and biologically active B group vitamin, panthenol has two isomers, L-panthenol and D-panthenol. DL-panthenol has only half of the physiological activity of D-panthenol, so D-panthenol is more commonly used.Pantothenic acid is A component of coenzyme A. When the body lacks pantothenic acid, skin keratosis is abnormal, leading to peeling.Panthenol is absorbed by the body and converted into pantothenic acid to play a physiological role.D-panthenol is a colorless, transparent, viscous liquid, soluble in water, ethanol, , soluble and ether, slightly soluble in glycerol, insoluble in vegetable oil, mineral oil and fat, relatively stable to heat.
