Mecobalamin is a therapeutic drug for peripheral neurological disorders. Compared with other vitamin B12 preparations, mecobalamin has good transmission to nerve tissue. Methyl conversion reaction can promote nucleic acid-protein-lipid metabolism and repair injured nerve tissue. It plays a coenzyme role in the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine, especially in the synthesis of thymidine from deoxyuridine, and promotes the synthesis of DNA and RNA. In addition, in the experiment of glial cells, this drug increased the activity of methionine synthase and promoted the synthesis of myelin lipid lecithin.
