What is Ceramides?
- It's a brown yellow powder which extracted from Amorphophallus Konjac. Konjac is a plant native to China, Japan and Indonesia.
It is an important intracellular signaling molecule that plays an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation and other activities.
Ceramides are composed of sphingominol and fatty acids. Ceramides are present in high concentrations in cell membranes.
For eukaryotic cells, because they are the lipid components that make up sphingomyelins, which are one of the main lipids in the lipid bilayer.
